Paroxetine hydrochloride (paxil) is a phenylpiperidine compound,
developed by glaxosmithkline and marketed in 1991.
Usage:Paroxetine can inhibit the reabsorption of synaptosomes of
5- HT strongly and selectively, does not directly interfere with any
central neurotransmitter receptor. Used for depression, especially
anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder.
